Integrity Engine System Reference Document (IE-SRD) · Open Rules
CC BY 4.0 selected · SRD publication pendingThe Integrity Engine System Reference Document (IE-SRD) is the curated rules-reference layer Open Almond Studios designates for public reuse. Expressly designated IE-SRD Content will be released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The rules content is open; the compatibility mark and Open Almond Studios worlds remain separate.
Plain-language guide. Use this page for orientation. Where a license, Terms & Conditions, Compatibility Standard, or asset permission applies, that governing document controls.
Release boundary
The CC BY grant applies only to material Open Almond Studios actually publishes with an express CC BY 4.0 designation. Draft or undesignated material is not public-domain or openly licensed merely because it is being prepared for the SRD.
What SRD means
The Integrity Engine System Reference Document (IE-SRD) is a deliberately selected reference document containing rule text Open Almond Studios has chosen to make reusable. It is not shorthand for the entire Integrity Engine rulebook, this website, every example, every diagram, or every Open Almond Studios asset.
Only material actually identified as IE-SRD Content and published with the CC BY 4.0 notice receives that public license. Reserved Material remains outside that grant unless separately licensed.
Separate production asset
The official glyph font has its own asset permission and required credit. It is not part of the IE-SRD CC BY 4.0 grant and it is not included merely because a work qualifies for PBI.

The boundary that matters
Open Almond Studios retains copyright in the SRD expression it creates and licenses designated material under CC BY 4.0. That public copyright license does not, by itself, grant trademark rights or permission to present a work as official, endorsed, or Powered by Integrity.
Use the designated IE-SRD Content under CC BY 4.0.
Qualify separately under the Powered by Integrity brand program.
Use the CGL or obtain a separate agreement where required.
Official license
For designated IE-SRD Content, the actual Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license controls. Open Almond Studios' SRD notice will identify the licensed material, attribution information, and reserved material; it will not replace CC BY 4.0 with a custom imitation.
Attribution model
When designated IE-SRD Content is released, CC BY 4.0 requires appropriate credit, a link or URI to the license, and an indication of changes when applicable. That required credit identifies the open material and its source; it does not grant or imply Powered by Integrity status, Open Almond Studios endorsement, or trademark permission.
Place this attribution block in the copyright, credits, or legal section where you place your own copyright notice. It identifies the source work, publisher, principal designer/writer, contributor credits, and the Creative Commons license in one place.
Required IE-SRD attribution
Use the released SRD version and official source URL. Preserve any more specific credit supplied with the released IE-SRD.
This work is based on the Integrity Engine System Reference Document (IE-SRD) [SRD version], published by Open Almond Studios, LLC; designed and written by Benjamin J. Schmidt, with editing and additional contributors identified in the official IE-SRD credits; and licensed for use under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Source: [official IE-SRD URL]. If applicable: This work contains modified Integrity Engine System Reference Document (IE-SRD) Content.
Common questions
That is a separate choice. A qualifying work may use the Powered by Integrity identity and Creator Kit under the PBI program, but the badge is not required for ordinary CC BY reuse. What is required is the IE-SRD attribution above and compliance with CC BY 4.0.
