About the Studio

“I am watching over My word to perform it.”
Jeremiah 1:12
Open Almond Studios was formed out of conviction, not ambition.
After years of seeing how storytelling shapes hearts—and how Scripture shapes lives—it became clear that the Lord was drawing those threads together into a single calling: to create Christ-centered games and resources that strengthen believers and disciple the next generation.
This studio stands on a simple truth: the Bible is not merely an inspiration for our work. It is the foundation, the framework, and the measure by which everything we create is shaped.
Every story we craft, every system we build, and every resource we publish begins there.

Where Faith and Imagination Meet

The idea behind Open Almond Studios grew slowly, like a seed taking root.
I was raised in the life of the Church and shaped by Scripture, but I also found deep community through tabletop games and collaborative storytelling. For years, those worlds ran in parallel—faith on one path, imagination on the other—until the Lord pressed a question I could not ignore:
What if biblical storytelling could become a tool for discipleship?
That question became the spark.
And in time, it became a studio.
Our mission is to build spaces where biblical truth directs creativity—where imagination serves Scripture, not the other way around—and where players encounter Gospel-centered themes, Scripture-guided choices, and worlds crafted with theological clarity and care.

Why the Almond Matters

When God showed Jeremiah the almond branch, He was teaching the prophet how to listen, how to trust, and how to recognize the Lord’s faithfulness.
The almond—shaqed—became a symbol of watching, awakening, and early fruit. It was a reminder that God keeps His word and watches attentively over His people.
That is the heart behind our name.
Open Almond means creating openly before God, trusting the One who watches over His word to perform it.
It is a reminder that our work must remain grounded in Scripture, humble in posture, and faithful in purpose.

Our Core Commitments

Everything we create is anchored in these convictions:
  • The inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures
  • The unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • The saving work of Jesus Christ
  • Creativity shaped by truth, not trends
These are not decorative statements. They guide every decision we make—from mechanics and narrative design to theology, tone, and presentation.

What We Create

Scripture-Rooted Roleplaying Games

Our flagship RPG, Warriors of the Covenant, explores the early Bronze Age through a lens shaped by biblical themes, historical integrity, and covenant faithfulness. It invites players to wrestle with conviction, courage, endurance, and obedience in a world grounded in Scripture.
Our near-future survival RPG, Legacy of the Remnant, carries those same values into a very different setting—one where perseverance, unity, and hope are tested under spiritual and societal pressure.

Discipleship Tools & Teaching Resources

Through projects like the Covenant Path studies and the Hall of Faith Hero Deck, we present biblical teaching in ways that invite reflection, conversation, and growth—both at the table and in the Church.

Creative Resources for Churches, Families, and Mission Fields

We believe imagination can serve discipleship.
Our tools are designed to support youth groups, small groups, families, and missionaries seeking to engage Scripture through shared experience and thoughtful storytelling.

A Mission Built for the Long Journey

Biblically faithful creation is not fast work.
Scripture is layered, historically grounded, and theologically rich. Honoring that depth requires patience, care, and restraint—and that responsibility is one we willingly embrace.
Our long-term vision includes:
  • Expanding Warriors of the Covenant with guided adventure paths
  • Growing the Hall of Faith Quest Deck into a versatile discipleship tool
  • Completing Legacy of the Remnant as a full survival RPG
  • Developing future biblical projects rooted in clarity and truth
We build with endurance because we build for the Church.

Why This Work Matters

The modern world is saturated with stories that shape imagination far more effectively than many sermons ever reach.
Believers—especially younger ones—are surrounded by competing narratives, spiritual noise, and pressure to compromise biblical truth.
We want to redirect imagination toward Christ.
By placing Scripture at the center of the worlds we build, we invite players to experience faith not as abstraction, but as practiced conviction—together, around a table, through meaningful shared stories.

What We Stand For

Our aim is simple:
Create faithfully.
Serve the Church.
Point everything back to Christ.
Open Almond Studios exists because the Lord united faith, theology, creativity, leadership, and calling into something larger than any single game or story.
By His grace, we will continue to build tools that strengthen believers, equip families, and serve the Church for the long road ahead.
Rooted in Scripture. Branching into Creativity.
