“I am watching over My word to perform it.”— Jeremiah 1:12
Open Almond Studios was formed out of conviction, not ambition. After years of seeing how storytelling shapes hearts and how Scripture shapes lives, it became clear that the Lord was weaving those threads together into a single calling: to create Christ-centered games and resources that strengthen believers and disciple the next generation.
This studio stands on a simple truth—the Bible is not just inspiration for our work; it is the foundation, the framework, and the guiding light. Every story we craft, every system we build, and every resource we publish begins there.
Where Faith and Imagination Meet
The idea behind Open Almond Studios grew slowly, like a seed taking root. I grew up surrounded by Scripture and the life of the Church, but I also found community in tabletop games and collaborative storytelling. For years, those worlds ran parallel—faith on one path, imagination on the other—until the Lord brought them together with a question I couldn’t shake:
What if biblical storytelling could become a tool for discipleship?
That question became the spark. And eventually, it became a studio.
Our mission is to build spaces where biblical truth directs creativity—where players encounter Scripture-guided choices, Gospel-centered themes, and worlds shaped with theological clarity and care.
Why the Almond Matters
When God showed Jeremiah the almond branch, He was teaching the young prophet how to listen, how to trust, and how to recognize the Lord’s faithfulness.
The almond—the shaqed—became a symbol of watching, awakening, and early fruit. It reminded Jeremiah that God keeps His word and that He watches attentively over His people.
That is the heart behind our name.
Open Almond means creating openly before God and trusting the One who watches over His word.
It’s a reminder that our work must always stay grounded in Scripture, humble in posture, and faithful in purpose.
Our Core Commitments
We center everything we do on:
- The inspiration and authority of the Bible
- The unity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- The saving work of Jesus Christ
- Creativity shaped by truth, not trends
These commitments are not window dressing—they’re the compass for every project we take on, from game mechanics to adventure narratives to theological studies.
What We Create
Scripture-Rooted Role-Playing Games
Our flagship RPG, Warriors of the Covenant, explores the world of the early Bronze Age through a lens grounded in biblical themes. It’s designed to help players wrestle with conviction, courage, and faith in a setting shaped by Scripture.
Our near-future survival RPG Legacy of the Remnant carries those same values into a very different world—one where perseverance, hope, and faithfulness are tested in the face of spiritual pressure.
Discipleship Tools and Devotionals
Through projects like the Covenant Path series and the Hall of Faith Quest Deck, we take biblical teaching and present it in ways that invite reflection, conversation, and growth.
Creative Resources for Churches, Families, and Mission Fields
We believe imagination can be discipleship. Our tools are designed to support youth groups, small groups, missionaries, and families seeking to engage Scripture through shared experience.
A Mission Built for the Long Journey
Crafting biblically faithful content is not quick work. Scripture is profoundly layered, historically grounded, and theologically rich. Producing stories and systems that honor that depth requires care and patience—and that’s a responsibility we embrace.
Our long-term vision includes:
- Expanding Warriors of the Covenant with guided adventures
- Growing the Hall of Faith Quest Deck into a versatile discipleship resource
- Completing Legacy of the Remnant as a full survival RPG
- Developing new biblical projects rooted in clarity and truth
We build with endurance because we build for the Church.
Why This Work Matters
The world offers endless distractions. Believers—especially younger ones—are surrounded by spiritual noise, competing narratives, and pressure to abandon biblical truth. Meanwhile, countless hours are poured into digital and fictional worlds that shape the imagination more effectively than many sermons ever reach.
We want to redirect that imagination toward Christ.
By placing Scripture at the center of the worlds we build, we help players experience faith not as an abstract idea but as practiced conviction—together, around a table, in meaningful shared stories.
What We Stand For
Our aim is simple:
Create faithfully.Serve the Church.Point everything back to Christ.
Open Almond Studios exists because the Lord brought together faith, theology, creativity, leadership, and calling into something bigger than any one story or game. By His grace, we will continue to build tools that encourage believers, strengthen families, and help the Church grow.
Rooted in Scripture. Branching into Creativity.
