Open Almond Playtesting
Test Integrity Engine™ itself, Warriors of the Covenant™, or Legacy of the Remnant™. Each route has current materials in Discord and its own questions we need answered at the table.
Three Playtest Routes
The routes share one community, but they are testing different things. Start with the engine itself or jump into a complete game line.
Test the core system
Test the shared engine itself: the Quick Start, Trials, Pressure, Edge, Integrity, Impact, Disciplines, and whether the rules stay clear across different kinds of stories.
Test the covenant line
Test the complete biblical adventure game: Callings, Convictions, Grace, Disciplines, Trial pacing, scenario flow, and whether play feels distinctly covenant-shaped.
Test the remnant line
Test the complete resistance game: Operators, Safehouse play, Fear and Fury, Threat, Martyrdom, Operations, and whether pressure keeps the focus on witness and community.
How Playtesting Works
The website gets you pointed in the right direction. Discord is the working space for the newest files, coordination, rules questions, and session reports.
Choose the route you want to test and review the current instructions and materials.
Enter the playtest workspace, grab the current files, and choose the playtester roles that fit you.
Run a full session, one-shot, focused Trial, character test, or blind read of the current materials.
Post what happened at your table, ask rules questions, and help us identify what needs to change.
Useful Feedback
Specific observations from actual play are more useful than polished design commentary. You do not need to be an experienced Witness or game designer.
What rule made you change what you were going to do?
A useful session report
What were the players trying to do, and what was happening in the fiction?
Describe the actual result at the table before jumping to a proposed fix.
If the rule surprised you, explain what you thought it would do and why.
Did it change a decision, create a memorable consequence, slow the table down, or get forgotten entirely?
Playtest Community
Discord is where the newest test materials, rules questions, session reports, and playtest discussion stay together across Integrity Engine, Warriors of the Covenant, and Legacy of the Remnant.
Stable public character sheets, released resources, apps, and evergreen materials remain available on the website. The newest playtest builds and discussion live in Discord.
