LEGACY OF THE REMNANT
LEGACY OF THE REMNANT

LEGACY OF THE REMNANT

A near-future survival RPG about faith, endurance, community, and standing firm when the world fractures.

Legacy of the Remnant brings players into a world where scarcity isn’t the absence of resources —
it’s the result of exclusion.
A society overflowing with abundance refuses to let the unmarked buy, sell, or belong.
The Remnant must choose: comply, compromise, or stand faithful and suffer the cost.
This is not doom fiction.
This is a story about hope under pressure, courage in the margins, and the testimony of those who will not be erased.
Gritty. Grounded. Uncompromising.

🌑 What This Game Is About

Set in the near future, Legacy of the Remnant explores the world after a global identification system fractures society into the marked and the marginalized.
The Remnant—those who refuse the mark for reasons of conscience, faith, or conviction—must survive:
  • denial of trade
  • escalating surveillance
  • state-crafted illusions of unity
  • engineered scarcity
  • propaganda that promises safety at the cost of identity
Players tell stories of families, churches, home-front pockets of resistance, off-grid communities, and small bands of survivors who refuse to abandon righteousness for acceptance.
The world is not empty or destroyed.
It is full — but closed.
Your survival is not about scavenging wastelands…
It’s about keeping your humanity intact in a system designed to grind it away.

⚙️ Signature Features

Legacy Dials

Four dials track the pulse of your community:
  • Resources (food, medicine, energy, shelter)
  • Unity (relationships, morale, trust)
  • Security (safety, exposure, threats)
  • Hope (purpose, meaning, spiritual resilience)
Every choice raises one dial and lowers another.
Your story emerges from the tension between them.

Fear & Fury

A dual-track emotional system representing psychological pressure:
  • Fear reflects anxiety, uncertainty, and dread.
  • Fury reflects outrage, injustice, and the drive to fight back.
Too much of either pushes characters into breaking points that shape the story.

Threat Escalation Ladder

The world adapts dynamically to the group’s actions:
  • More activity earns visibility.
  • More visibility draws attention.
  • More attention invites force.
The Ladder ensures tension grows naturally across each session or campaign arc.

The Witness

Legacy’s unique “GM role.”
Not a dungeon master, not a storyteller —
A Witness: someone who watches, records, prompts moral crossroads, and guides the world’s reaction to the players’ convictions.

Theological Integrity

No cheap sensationalism.
No date-setting.
No “secret magic forces.”
Only:
  • human systems
  • spiritual deception
  • courage
  • persecution
  • conscience
  • hope
Everything is grounded in Scripture’s themes, warnings, promises, and patterns — without claiming to rewrite prophecy.

Survival Through Community

Nobody endures alone.
Every role, choice, and moment pushes players to depend on one another:
  • caregivers
  • defenders
  • medics
  • scouts
  • builders
  • communicators
  • leaders
  • quiet faithful voices in a fractured world
Legacy creates space for real conversations about faith, doubt, unity, and perseverance.

🎨 Art & Atmosphere

Legacy’s visual identity is bold, dystopian, and symbolic, using:
  • sharp cel shading
  • moody lighting
  • propaganda-style posters
  • drones, surveillance, and bold silhouettes
  • minimal color palettes with high contrast
  • cinematic framing
It looks near-future, not sci-fi.
It feels real, not fantastical.
And it stays consistent with your defined studio style.

🔥 What Makes This Game Different

1. Scarcity Through Exclusion

Not the wasteland trope.
This world is full — you’re simply not allowed to access it.

2. Faithful, Realistic Theology

Legacy doesn’t rewrite Revelation or claim prophetic authority.
It draws from biblical themes of endurance, witness, and spiritual pressure — without sensationalizing.

3. A Surveillance Society That Feels Plausible

AI monitoring, social identity systems, restricted commerce, information control.
Not science fantasy — near-future realism.

4. Survival That’s Slower, Personal, and Moral

You’re not hunting mutant beasts.
You’re deciding whether to share your medicine with another family when you barely have enough.

5. The Community Is the Character

Unity and Hope matter as much as any stat.
